We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer who thrives in building large-scale, enterprise-grade systems and is passionate about shaping how AI transforms retail commerce. You’ll work across backend and frontend domains, collaborating closely with product, sales, and AI platform teams to design, prototype, and launch powerful conversational experiences for some of Latin America’s largest retailers. This is a role for an independent problem solver who enjoys both deep technical challenges and high-impact product thinking.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Design, build, and launch production-grade conversational AI solutions for enterprise clients, from rapid prototypes to scalable deployments.
  2. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and enterprise partners to define user journeys, performance goals, and success metrics.
  3. Leverage and contribute to our AI platform, working with engineering teams in San Francisco to integrate new capabilities and influence platform direction.
  4. Experiment with AI-driven features, including LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automation pipelines to continuously improve customer engagement.
  5. Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB for scalability and reliability.
  6. Establish, track, and iterate on AI performance metrics, leveraging data to optimize outcomes and drive measurable business results.
  7. Plan and manage your workstream, making thoughtful tradeoffs between deadlines, quality, and innovation.
  8. Mentor teammates, contribute to code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a fast-moving, distributed environment.

Requirements

  1. BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in hands-on software engineering roles.
  3. Proven track record building and scaling enterprise systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.
  4. Experience with frontend engineering (React, TypeScript, etc.) is a plus.
  5. Prior experience developing or deploying conversational AI applications is a strong plus.
  6. Experience working in fast-paced, customer-centric environments, ideally in a startup or high-growth tech company.
