Android Front-End Developer

We’re looking for an Android Front-End Developer to help build and maintain a high-quality Android application used by thousands (or millions) of users. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver polished, performant, and user-friendly experiences. This role is ideal for someone who cares deeply about UI quality, performance, and clean architecture.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and maintain Android features using Kotlin
2. Translate Figma / design specs into high-quality UI
3. Collaborate with backend engineers on API integration
4. Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and reliability
5. Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
6. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
7. Debug and resolve production issues
8. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of professional Android development experience
2. Strong proficiency in Kotlin
3. Experience with Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation)
4. Solid understanding of Android UI (XML and/or Jetpack Compose)
5. Experience consuming REST APIs
6. Familiarity with MVVM or similar architectural patterns
7. Strong knowledge of Android lifecycle, threading, and performance
8. Experience with Git-based workflows

Nice to Have

1. Jetpack Compose production experience
2. Experience with Coroutines / Flow
3. Unit/UI testing experience (JUnit, Espresso)
4. Experience with CI/CD for Android
5. Published apps on the Google Play Store
6. Familiarity with Firebase, analytics, or crash reporting tools
